Prayer Requests:
Group Discussion: How does God’s character point us to how we should live?
Read Aloud: Genesis 15:1-6, Psalm 23, Matthew 5:14-16
1. Have you ever found yourself struggling to trust God when His promises seem impossible? How does Abram’s response encourage us to live?
2. If there is breath in the body there is hope for your life? In what areas of your life are you not trusting with?
3. Psalm 23 "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me” What does this mean in light of our circumstances?
4. Matthew 5:14-16 "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
If we believe God is our salvation, what then does that mean for us as people of the promise? What steps can I take in my faith that point the world to Jesus? How can I be like a city on a hill?
