Responding to God's sovereignty:
1. Rest in God's sovereignty.
2. Relinquish control to God.

Understanding God's Sovereignty:
1. How do you see God's sovereignty at work in the details of Jesus' birth as described in Luke 2:1-20? What does this teach us about God's control over historical events and personal circumstances? Reflect on a time when God's timing and orchestration were evident in your life. How can you trust Him in your current circumstances, even when they seem uncertain or challenging?
God's Choice of the Humble:
2. Why do you think God chose to announce the birth of Jesus to shepherds, who were considered lowly and outcasts in society? What does this reveal about God's character and priorities? Consider areas where you might feel insignificant or overlooked. How does knowing God values the humble and lowly encourage you to approach Him with confidence and gratitude?
Responding to Good News:
3. The shepherds immediately responded to the angel's message (Luke 2:15-20). How do you respond when you encounter the 'good news' of Jesus in your life? Are there ways you could share this joy with others? Identify one person with whom you can share Jesus' message this week. Pray for an opportunity to speak to them about the hope and joy found in Christ.
Relinquishing Control to God:
4. The sermon highlighted the need to rest in God's sovereignty and relinquish control of our lives to Him. What areas of your life are most challenging to surrender to God? Why? Write down one specific area where you must let go of control and trust God's plan. Spend time in prayer this week, asking God to help you submit that area to His sovereignty.
