BIG IDEA: ‎
Our encounter with Jesus, the Word made flesh, transforms our nature so that we can experience His grace and truth.
He leads with grace.
He doesn't forget truth.
“The gospel is this: We are more sinful and flawed in ourselves than we ever dared believe, yet at the very same time we are more loved and accepted in Jesus Christ than we ever dared hope.” (Tim Keller)
The Truth is this: We had no hope native to ourselves. We needed something from outside our bounded experience. So God, in His great mercy, passed through the boundary between His experience and ours, becoming one of us. But his Grace went even further, when he died on the Cross, in our place, and rose again to reclaim the glory that was His.
BIG IDEA: Our encounter with Jesus, the Word made flesh, transforms our nature so that we can experience His grace and truth, which equips us to share that with others.
VISION BENEDICTION
We BRING our brokenness to Jesus because a CHANGE to wholeness is the story we SHARE.
