Isaiah 9:6 – “For to us a child is born,to us a son is given,and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (NIV)

Prince of Peace
SAR – The one in charge, Lord, chief, general
SHALOM – Rest, tranquility, wholeness, contentment.


Psalm 4:8 - In peace I will lie down and sleep,for You alone, Lord,make me dwell in safety. (NIV)


Psalm 29:11 - The Lord gives strength to His people;the Lord blesses His people with peace. (NIV)


Ephesians 2:13-14 - But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For he himself is our peace …

Peace in not found in the absence of something,
It’s found in the presence of Someone.


Psalm 23:4-5 - Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me;Your rod and Your staff,they comfort me.


5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

We want prevention from trouble
He brings provision in the midst of trouble.

For Him to be the Lord of Peace we must:
1) Submit to His principles.


Acts 10:36 - You know the message God sent to the people of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all.


Psalm 5:12 - Surely, Lord, You bless the righteous;You surround them with Your favor as with a shield.


Matthew 16:24 - Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow Me.”


Isaiah 32:17 - The fruit of that righteousness will be peace;its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.

For Him to be the Lord of Peace we must:
1) Submit to His principles.
2) Seek His presence.


2 Thessalonians 3:16 - Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

Ephesians 5:18 - Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, (NLT)


Romans 8:5-6 - Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit.

6 So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. (NLT)

For Him to be the Lord of Peace we must:
1) Submit to His principles.
2) Seek His presence.
3) See from His perspective.


Philippians 4:8-9 - Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable –


if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things … and the God of peace will be with you. (NIV)



Romans 15:13 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

You call out to God for help and He helps - He’s a good Father that way. But don’t forget, He’s also a responsible Father and won’t let you get by with sloppy living. Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God.
