Prepare the Way
Isaiah 40:3-5 A voice of one calling: “In the wilderness prepare the way for the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. 4 Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. 5 And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
Prepare the Way meaning
pānâ – (paw -naw):
To turn toward or to give full attention.
We can be “prepared” this Christmas and still “Focus” on what matters most.
Advent means coming or arrival. Particular of a notable person, thing, or event. "the advent of television" or in this case “the advent of Christ”
There are 4 Advent Candles. One represent:
Hope, Peace, Joy, Love
1. Hold Hope Tightly.
Isaiah 40:4a “Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low;”
Romans 8:31 “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
2. Let Peace Inside.
Isaiah 40:4b “the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.”

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
3. Choose Joy Anyway.
Psalm 16:11 “you will fill me with joy in your presence”
Psalm 32:11 “Rejoice in the Lord and be glad”
Psalm 33:21 “In him our hearts rejoice”
Isaiah 40:5a “And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together.”
4. Receive Love Freely.
Isaiah 40:5 For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
Isaiah 40:10-11 See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power, and he rules with a mighty arm. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him. He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.
