31But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.

“Covet” To burn with zeal.
I thought it was up to the Holy Spirit to give out the gifts that He wants us to have.

The Holy Spirit chooses to give His gifts to those who are hungry for them

6Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.

3 that “Know or reveal something.” Revelation gifts.
A. Word of wisdom. A word for the future.
B. Word of knowledge. Present tense or past.
C. Discerning of spirits. When you sense angels or demons.

1. Word of Wisdom is a supernatural revelation by the Spirit of God concerning the divine purpose and plan in the mind and will of God.

Always speaks of the future.

2. Word of Knowledge – supernatural revelation by the Spirit of God concerning certain facts in the mind of God…. facts about people, places, or things in the past or present.

3. Discerning of Spirits.
Gives or reveals supernatural knowledge into the spirit world.
To discern means to perceive by seeing.
Supernatural power to detect the realm of the spirits and their activities.
Limited to knowledge or revealing in the spirit world.
