How do you find a perfect gift? God’s gift to us at Christmas is perfect.

d. The gospel depends on God, not us

f. We are called to love one another

2. The PerfectGift: Continues to give (1 John 4:9)
a. God expressed his love
b. He gave his only son into our world
c. We live through Christ (John 20:30-31)
d. Look for Christ in people and Scripture to know what the gift is

3. The PerfectGift: The Budget (1 John 4:10)
a. The Gift was sacrificial
b. Because of the cost, we can know we are valued
c. Sacrifice expresses love
d. Consider the cost of God’s gift to us!

4. The PerfectGift: The Gift’sresults
a. God lives in us
b. Sets us free from fear & judgement
c. We love others, even those unlovely to us
d. Warning! Loving others deeply makes us vulnerable
