With Christmas arriving in about a week and a half, I want to ask you to do the following: Describe what you HOPE Christmas morning will be like?
So the questions become: When our present circumstances scream hopelessness…
• Why can a disciple of Jesus have a hope that looks so different?
• What is our role in cultivating a hope so distinct that Peter assumes we’d be asked about it?

• Her hope is rooted in God’s faithfulness in the past.
• Her hope is secured by God’s character in the present.
• Her hope is firmly held in place by God’s promises for the future.

Her hope was rooted in God’s faithfulness in the past.

Her hope was firmly held in place by God’s promises for her future and for generations to come.

We follow Mary’s example:
1) We remember God’s past faithfulness.
2) We celebrate His character directed toward us in the present.
3) We cling to His promises for our future.

How have you seen God work in and around you recently?

At your tables, read the following three passages:
• John 14:25-27
• 2 Peter 1:3-4
• Philippians 1:6
After reading, discuss: Which promise is God calling you to cling to right now, and why? (Or perhaps there’s another promise He’s bringing to your heart—feel free to share that as well.)

Year End Giving
It’s that time of year when everyone is thinking about year-end giving, so we wanted to give you a few reminders. Services on December 22 will be the last opportunity to give via a giving box. You may still give, after that date, via the website, text-to-give, or by a check mailed to our New London Campus.
Checks written for 2024 giving must be postmarked by December 31.
There will be no services on December 29. Both campuses will be closed for the week starting Monday, December 23, and will reopen on Monday, December 30. No groups will meet onsite during that week.

Groups
Groups are intended to bring us together to experience authentic discipleship and life-giving community. Each group has its own focus, centered on biblically based content, working toward our greater mission of helping people follow Jesus. We have groups for couples, women, men, singles, seniors, moms & those still in college.

Serving Opportunities
At Blue Ridge we believe that serving is not only an appropriate response to God, it is also an avenue to encounter Him in new ways and experience spiritual growth. When you are answering God's calling to serve, He equips and fills you. When you serve it's much more than pouring out what's been poured into you, it's a way to move closer to God.
