Christmas Playlist - Zechariah's Song - Luke 1:5-25, 57-79
Zechariah’s role in the Christmas story is easily overlooked. He and his wife, Elizabeth, probably felt overlooked by God, too, as their prayers for a child went unanswered. Their story in Luke 1 is a journey from doubt to divine fulfillment, giving us hope that God is still actively at work in our lives even when He seems silent. Zechariah’s quiet obedience turns into a song of blessing as he gives us a clear model to follow in times we feel God has forgotten us.

Christmas reminds us that God shows up in unexpected places in unexpected ways to unexpected people.
Christmas reminds us that God shows up in unexpected places in unexpected ways to unexpected people.
Even godly people have doubts about God's promise.
You can maintain your righteousness in times of doubt through quiet obedience to God’s word.
Never underestimate what God will do in and through a person who is committed to quietly and faithfully fulfilling the commands of the Lord.
What may feel like punishment could instead be preparation for a greater revelation of God’s glory through your quiet obedience.
“Waiting on God ascribes to God the glory of being all to us.”
