Preeminent In Our Work, Colossians 3:18-4:1
Two reasons to embrace God’s behavior code:
- It honors God.
- It makes life work.
1. Give Jesus 1st place in your marriage.
Colossians 3:18,19, Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.
Genesis 1:27, So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

One of the strongest ways to influence your kids for Christ is to have a Godly marriage.
Malachi 2:15, Did he not make them one, with a portion of the Spirit in their union? And what was the one God seeking? Godly offspring.

Strong families are the backbone of a strong society.

Colossians 3:22-4:1, Bondservants, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not by way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord. 23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. 25 For the wrongdoer will be paid back for the wrong he has done, and there is no partiality. 1Masters, treat your bondservants justly and fairly, knowing that you also have a Master in heaven.
Colossians 3:11, Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all, and in all.
Honor the Lord at work:
- Give your best.
- Put company success over personal gain.
- Be content where the Lord has you.
- Live in balance.
- Do right even if it’s not recognized.
Making Jesus 1st in my vocation brings purpose to the everyday stuff of life.
