Ephesians 1:18-23 NASB
18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might 20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Philippians 2:6-11 NASB
6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bondservant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

So What!?!
Our sins have been forgiven.
We have been released from guilt.
We have been given eternal life in heaven.
We can live a transformed life if we repent and surrender.

Three Invitations
Matthew 28:16-20
November 21st & 24th, 2024
Go for me.
Prayer Requests:
Group Discussion: What would you like to be known for?
Read Aloud: Matthew 28:16-20
1. v.18 “And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” Read Ephesians 1:18-23. Is the idea of God having authority losing traction in culture? Why or why not? When we lack an understanding of authority how does that effect how we follow Jesus
2. v.19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,” Baptism is a response to the gospel being preached and received. Do you feel comfortable sharing the gospel? How does 1 Cor. 15:3-4 outline the gospel message?
3. v.20 “teaching them to observe all that I commanded you.” A disciple obeys Jesus without hesitation. How does understanding Jesus’ authority and the gospel help initiate obedience? Are we more transformed through knowing the commands of Jesus or following them? What is one area you are struggling with obedience in?
4. Why has God chosen to leave His people here on earth once we have been saved? How would you describe God’s purpose for your life in once sentence?
