God is a giver, Jesus is a giver, and we are called to be givers as well.
God loved us so much that He gave. He gave us life. He gave us food and drink. He gives us purpose and a future.
He gave His one and only Son, Jesus, to be the sacrificial atonement for our sins so we wouldn’t have to pay our own penalty and die for eternity.
Jesus freely gave His life for us so we could have eternal life with Him.
A thankful heart leads to a giving heart.
As we cultivate thankful hearts for God’s goodness, provision, and presence, generosity that impacts the world will flow naturally from our lives.
Because God and Jesus are givers we should give as we follow and emulate Jesus and live for God.

God deserves our first and our best, not our worst or our leftovers.
A tithe simply means a tenth.
In Scripture, we are commanded to give to God, through the local church, a tithe = a tenth of our income.

8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me.
“But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’
“In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me.
10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house.
Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
"Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty
Do we truly trust that God will be faithful to His Word and to us personally?
It usually isn’t a money issue – it is a heart and faith issue!
Do we really have faith in God?
Do we trust Him for our daily lives like we do for our eternal lives?
As we cultivate thankful hearts for God’s goodness, provision, and presence, a natural overflow of our lives is generosity.
Thankful hearts lead to giving hearts.
“The people are bringing more than enough for doing the work the LORD commanded to be done” (Ex 36:5)
“And so the people were restrained from bringing more, because what they already had was more than enough to do all the work” (Ex 36:6–7).

When we recognize the Source of all we have, and we trust God with all He has given us, then we will learn to trust Him that He will bless us even more when we give back to Him what He already owns and has entrusted to us!
Are you Thankful for all that God has given to you?
Do you realize that God owns it all and has simply given to you what was His first?
He gave you your talents and abilities, your job, your ability to make money, your health, your intelligence.
God will not give us more until we show that we are grateful with what we already have and are good stewards of what He has already entrusted us with now.
90% of our income will go farther with God’s blessings than 100% without God’s blessings.
It takes faith to believe what reality will confirm once we believe it and try it.
To whom much is given – much is required – Luke 12:48

Many want to trust Him with their eternal lives but not with their daily lives or finances.
Trust Him Today!!
Give God your first fruits – of your time, talents, and treasures.
Give to God the first part of your week – the first day – Sunday in worship and serving and fellowshipping with others at church.
Give to God the first part of your day in prayer and reading His Word
Give God the first part of your income and finances and trust Him to take care of the rest.
Do we cling to the gifts given or to the Gift Giver?
