Home Group/Study Questions
These questions are provided for your further study and application of today’s sermon. Thoughtfully writing out the answers to these questions will help to drive home the truths we are learning.
1. Was there any passage of scripture or statement in the message today that was particularly meaningful or applicable to you?
2. Read Proverbs 4:20-23; 12:5 & 15:26. Why, as God’s people, should we care so much about our minds, thoughts, and contemplations?
3. Read Ephesians 4:17-18 and Romans 12:2. Throughout the day, how should Christians think differently than non-Christians?
4. Read Psalm 1:1-2 & 119:15-16. What kind of correlation have you experienced (for better or for worse) between focused time spent in God’s word and your daily thought life?
5. Read Philippians 4:8. Which of the six “excellent” and praiseworthy categories we looked at in the sermon was most challenging for you? Why do you think that has been difficult for you?
6. Read Psalm 9:1. What will you do to ensure that you remember to actually thank God for the “excellent” things you have purposed to meditate on more often?

Giving Online
Giving cheerfully and sacrificially of our finances is part of our worship. (2 Corinthians 9:7; Proverbs 3:9; Malachi 3:10)
We thank those who have helped us fulfill our mission and vision, and we ask you to pray that all of the giving to West End Baptist Church would be used to glorify God in carrying out His will as Scripture instructs and the Holy Spirit leads.
