Truth & Love | Week 9 | Ken LaMont
2 JOHN 1-13
1. GUIDE YOUR CHILDREN
It has given me great joy to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as the Father commanded us – 2 John 4
· Teach Them the Truth
· Teach Then the Importance of Community
· Teach Them to Love Others
2. GUARD THE TRUTH
I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist. 8 Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. 9 Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. - 2 John 7-9
3. GUARD YOUR HOME
If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take them into your house or welcome them. Anyone who welcomes them shares in their wicked work. – 2 John 10-11

SERMON RECAP:
In his sermon, Pastor emphasizes the importance of guiding our children in faith while being intentional about teaching them the truth and love of God. He highlights that parents often prioritize temporary happiness over their children's spiritual readiness, urging a shift in focus towards faith development instead of societal success. Pastor also cautions against the insidious nature of false teachings infiltrating homes and churches, asserting the need to guard against these influences. The sermon concludes with practical advice for managing screen time and fostering a spiritually nurturing environment for families.
