The Chapel in Green
Do You Serve Me in Love?
November 17, 2024 In our text from Malachi 3:13-18, God calls us to examine why we serve Him, asking if it is rooted in love or mere obligation. Here, we see a contrast between the hardened hearts of the wicked and the reverent hearts of the faithful, who fear and esteem His name. To those who serve Him genuinely, God promises to be their advocate, remembering their faithfulness and sparing them as His treasured possession. This passage is a powerful reminder that when we return to God with true devotion, He, in turn, draws close to us, blessing us with His favor and distinguishing us as His own.
