The Vine Church- Give
Giving gives us an opportunity to recognize that God is the Giver of every good and perfect Gift! It also allows us to fund the mission and vision of the church. Every life that is transformed by the power of Jesus Christ through The Vine is a result of your generosity. Thanks for being cheerful and generous givers!
https://app.securegive.com/TheVineTeaching Notes:
- A covenant is an unwavering commitment based on unconditional love.
- Contracts limit liability and define responsibility.
- Through His death and resurrection, Jesus established a new covenant with us.
- When we enter into the new covenant with Christ, the Holy Spirit comes to live in us.
Reflection Questions:
1. Why is it so easy for us to slip into a contract mindset instead of a covenant mindset? How would you describe the difference?
2. How would operating with a covenant mindset impact the way you think about faith both in good seasons and hard seasons?
3. Why is it significant that God chooses to make covenants and not contracts? Why do you think God does this?
4. How does recognizing that Jesus established a new covenant with us impact the way you think about his sacrifice on the cross?
5. How can you remind yourself of the truth that nothing can ever separate you from God because God will always uphold his covenant promises to you? How can you share this truth with others?
