What do you think most people today believe is wrong with our world? Do you think there is a general feeling in our culture, that conservative Christian values and the Bible are the problem?

Read 2 Tim 3:1-5 again. How do you see our culture fitting with the description Paul gives of his culture in vs 1-5? Sound familiar? What does our culture think is the solution to these problems?

Has anyone ever asked you "How do you know the Bible is the word of God?" or "Why should we trust the Bible anyways?"

How equipped did you feel to answer that question at that time? What do you think you need to do to grow in your ability to handle questions like that from friends/family/neighbours etc?

What do you think are some of the biggest obstacles for people today in trusting that the Bible is really God's word?

We covered lots of good reasons to believe the Bible is God's word on Sunday... which ones do you find the most convincing/encouraging personally or most helpful in sharing with someone else?

The Bible is intimidating to many people because of its sheer size, yet lots of people devour books that are similar in size without issue. How serious do you think the problem of Bible illiteracy is in the church today? How can we be growing as a church in our knowledge of God's word?
