Scriptures: Matthew 7:21-23, John 6:39-40,1 John 2:19, 5:13, Romans 4:5, Hebrews 3:14,18-19, 1 Peter 1:4-6, John 10:27-30
God wants you to have assurance of your salvation and eternal life in heaven.
However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. Romans 4:5
Gift righteousness from God is everything you need for eternal life.
Righteousness comes by faith alone.
3 characteristics of those who have saving faith:
1. Ungodly
2. Does not work
3. Trusts God
Saving faith is a posture, not a prayer.
Saving faith is persevering faith, and Jesus ensures his people persevere in faith.
Saving faith isn’t sinless perfection, but it is a new direction—one that orients your whole life even if you go off course for a season.
