How to protect yourself and fellow believers:
1. Build yourself up in your most holy faith.
2. Pray in the Holy Spirit.
3. Keep yourself in God's love.
4. Wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
5. Be merciful to those who doubt.

Three additional steps to apply Jude's teachings:
1. Regularly test what you hear against Scripture.
2. Partner with a prayer accountability partner.
3. Look for ways to build unity in the church.

Study Questions:
1. What are some specific characteristics of false teachers mentioned by Jude, and why is it important to recognize these traits in today's context?
Application: Reflect on any messages or teachings you've encountered that may have raised doubts or confusion. How can you use Jude's description to evaluate those messages better?

2. What does 'keep yourself in God's love' mean? How does remaining in God's love impact our resilience against falsehoods?
Application: Identify one way to actively keep yourself in God's love this week, such as through worship, fellowship, or personal devotion.

3. In verses 22-23, Jude describes showing mercy to those who doubt or are at risk. How can you show mercy without compromising your own beliefs?
Application: Think of someone who may benefit from compassionate outreach. How can you share the truth with them lovingly and firmly?

4. Jude's doxology emphasizes God's ability to keep us from stumbling. How does this assurance affect your perspective on spiritual challenges and temptations?
Application: Meditate on this promise in times of doubt or difficulty. How can you remind yourself of God's ability to sustain and protect you in moments of weakness?
