In God We Trust
Introduction:

This series explores stewardship, wisdom, faithfulness, and the heart's orientation toward God and wealth. This passage provides a deep look at how we handle resources, the importance of faithfulness, and the need for an evident devotion to God over money.
Steward- (oikonomos) a house distributor (that is, manager), or overseer, that is, an employee in that capacity.
Stewardship- (oikonomia) administration (of a household or estate); account or accounting, audit.
How we handle money has ETERNAL IMPLICATIONS. The Bible says that God, in part, measures spiritual maturity by how we handle money. God measures and evaluates how much He can trust us with spiritual blessings according to how we handle and manage money. Did you know that some of the assignments and rewards you get in heaven are in direct relationship to how you manage resources on earth
This is significant to God! Fortunately, the Bible offers us wise counsel from one of its authors. Solomon—the wealthiest man who ever lived wrote a book of the Bible. He was the King of Israel, and his wealth was beyond comparison, surpassing even the fortunes of Warren Buffet and Bill Gates.
But not only was he the wealthiest man who ever lived, the Bible says he also was the wisest man who ever lived. Fortunately, he put his principles for financial money management down in a book called Proverbs. It's in the middle of your Bible. Next week, we’ll look at five principles of money management from the book of Proverbs.
Homework assignment:
Pray and assess your stewardship of God’s resources.

Prayerfully assess all areas of your life where you can be more responsible regarding your stewardship of God's resources.
