Locations & Times

1000 S Main St, Alta, IA 51002, USA

Sunday 8:30 AM

Sunday 10:00 AM

What is happening in John’s controversial “millennium” vision?
1. The BINDING of SATAN (v 1-3)
2. The REIGNING of SAINTS (v 4-6)
3. The GATHERING for BATTLE (v 7-10)
Applying God’s Word through 1:10 Journey groups, family devotions, or personal meditation:

Opener
1. Consider the various views of the millennium that Pastor Doug mentioned (Pre, Post, Amil, Pan). Were you originally taught one of these? Have your views changed or stayed the same? (Tune into this week’s “Flyover Podcast” for a quick review.)

Recap
2. Read Revelation 20:1-10. What stood out to you from this week’s passage or sermon?

3. How do we see God’s sovereign power displayed in this passage?

4. One day Satan will be bound so that he can no longer deceive. What do you long to be freed from when Christ returns?

5. What does the final rebellion in v 7-10 teach us about the heart of man?

Digging Deeper – Read Isaiah 11:5-9.
6. It is commonly understood that this passage describes the millennial kingdom. What sticks out to you from Isaiah’s description of it?

7. Isaiah describes unlikely animals living together peacefully. What message do you think this imagery conveys about God’s kingdom?

8. Isaiah’s vision may seem far removed from our current reality. How does this vision challenge or encourage your faith in God’s ultimate plan?

Application
9. What are the most hopeful things in this passage? How can remembering these give you confidence as you face your current struggles?

10. How did God’s Word speak to you this week in your personal Bible reading?
