How many of you—Worried about something?Jesus promises you … You don’t have to worry.
In Matt 6:25 Jesus tells us —Do not worry.
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Matt 6:25
Jesus promised us we don’t have to worry …Let’s look at how we stop worrying—Start trusting …
Jesus gives us 3 things to look at to overcome your worry.
Look to your Father.Look to your faith.Look to your future.
Look to your Father, because He’s always faithful.
26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Matt 6:26
Look to your faith, because your faith conquers fears.
—Jesus teaches us—Don’t worry—But instead …
33 … Seek first [God’s] kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matt 6:33
Seek first God—Seek first his kingdom Seek first his righteousness.He will take care of … What you’re worried about.
Paul said in 2 Tim 1:7 …
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV
Worry makes you anxious—Faith gives you peace.
Look to your future, because God is in control.
34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Matt 6:34
18 The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth. Ps 145:18
