Suzy’s Diet
Everybody duck
Suzy has decided that it's time to lose some weight
So she's resolved to choose with caution
Just what foods go on her plate
She bought chocolate milkshake powder that she drinks three times a day
Once a week a piece of frozen diet cheesecake is okay
But despite all of her efforts Suzy's weight won't go away
She works 30 hours a week at Sam's All You Can Eat Buffet
Well, I live my life just like Suzy's diet
I'm surrounded by the things I vow to give up and I like it
Yes I live my life like Suzy's diet
I tell myself that I should quit but with it all around
I just can't help but try it
Suzy is discouraged 'cause she can't take off the pounds
And then she feels the pains of hunger
As her stomach starts to growl
So she goes into the break room to mix up her diet shake
And then she quickly swallows two servings of Sam's chicken fried steak
Throughout her shift she feels the need to sample, taste, and try each dish
And as she stands on the scale at night
Quicker results are her heart wish
Well I live my life just like Suzy's diet
I surround myself with things I vow to give up and I like it
And I'm bound to fail just like Suzy's diet
Good intentions can't survive in bad surroundings
Where you just can't help but try it
James 1
13When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;
14but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.
15Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
(God is tempting me, own evil desire and enticed, when it is full-grown)

Suzy’s biggest problem was that she just couldn’t see
she put herself in situations where she’d be tempted easily.
If we choose to live our lives the way the Bible says we should
We must leave out all that tempts us and surround ourselves with good.
‘Cause bad company corrupts good morals it’s a proven fact.
Honesty within herself was all that Suzie truly lacked.
Do you live your life just like Suzy’s diet?
Are you surrounded by the things that pull you down
and do you like it?
Do you live your life just like Suzy’s diet?
If you’re still playing with your sin you might just fool yourself
but God’s not gonna buy it.
(There's hope!)
1 Corinthians 10
11These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come.
12So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall!
13No temptation c has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted d beyond what you can bear.
(But when you are tempted?, e he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it?)

12And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation, a
but deliver us from the evil one. b ’

Proverbs 25:28
Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.
Proverbs 29
11A fool vents all his anger,
but a wise man holds it back.

Temptation is a decision to do evil.
Testing is a decision to do good.
Temptation is doing evil
Tested is not doing good.
Temptation is doing what I want to not whats right in God's eyes.
Tested is following Gods will, even if you don't like it. Or want to, or completely understand.
When surgery is required!
Matthew 5
27“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ Exodus 20:14
28But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
29If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
30And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell.
Spiritual surgery is required!
Mark 9:43
42“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them if a large millstone were hung around their neck and they were thrown into the sea.
43If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out. [44] b
45And if your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life crippled than to have two feet and be thrown into hell. [46] c
47And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell,
(‘the worms that eat them do not die,and the fire is not quenched.’ d)

8If your hand or your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter life maimed or crippled than to have two hands or two feet and be thrown into eternal fire
The Battle of Temptation.
The Battle raged throughout the land
Of Christ and Satan and the souls of man,
Souls were gathered, each took their side
Some armored in righteousness, others in pride.
Weapons displayed as the armies closed in.
Weapons of virtue and prayer, of lies and of sin.
All the day long the war carried on.
Tween Christian solider and hell’s evil throng.
And when hope of victory was well within sight.
My despair grew so high, to unbearable heights.
For on the field were bodies, torn and dejected.
Good men lay dying from wounds self inflected.
They charged the cannons of temptation, without fear for life or limb.
Into the fiery blast they went, thinking they would never sin.
And one by one so many good men fell.
To the pleasure of Satan and the laughter of hell.
The orders were simple though never learned
To resist the devil and await the captains return.
They lost the view of the prize, of things much higher.
And like a moth to a flame, flew into the fire.
So learn a good lesson, keep temptation at bay.
Or suffer the same fate, as those on that day.
Guard your heart with all effort, give temptation no chance.
Leave Sodom behind and give it no glance.
Stand your ground and await for Christ’s glorious return.
Avoid the cannons of temptation, and you will avoid being burned.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man
God is faithful, who will by his grace help you stand.
