I Want To Serve

As a kingdom minded church, we believe that the ultimate fulfillment of our purpose is to be vessels of His grace; giving of ourselves just as He completely gave Himself up for us. The life of a Christ Follower is not about being a spectator for a couple of hours on Sunday. Rather, we open the flood gates of heaven when we sacrificially give of our talents and time.

hey
The Corinthians consistently blended together elements of the Christian faith and practices from their past. Some members of the church continued to participate in the idol feasts of the pagan temple (1 Cor. 10:7, 14-22; 2 Cor 6:14-18). Some were turning the Lord’s Supper into the kind of drunken and gluttonous feast they had celebrated in pagan temples.
The Greek word is kephalé, which translates as “head” but also carries broader meanings such as “authority” or “source.”
Authority deals with acknowledgment of proper order and submission.
Jesus made it clear that He submitted Himself to His Father’s will (John 4:34;5:30;6:38). Christ has never before, during, or after His incarnation in any way been inferior in essence to the Father. But in His incarnation He willingly subordinated Himself to the Father in His role as Savior and Redeemer.
Source “point of origin,” such as the “head” of a river.
Examples of this are found in both creation accounts, such as in Gen. 1:1, where the word usually translated “in the beginning” is literally “at the head.” In 1 Corinthians 11, Paul employs this “point of origin” imagery to emphasize the essential unity between men and women.
God’s creation needs humans to be fully, glorious, and truly human, which means fully and truly male and female.
Paul Was Teaching About Dignified Femininity Not About Fashion.
There should be no confusion about male and female identities, because God has made them distinct. God created men to be masculine and women to be feminine.
Men and women are complementary in every way in life, but particularly in the Lord’s work do they function together as a divinely ordained team. They serve each other and they serve with each other. The roles are different in function and relationships, but not in spirituality or importance.
In marriage men cannot be faithful to the Lord unless they are willingly and lovingly dependent on the wife He has given them.
