What Is Health?

- Health is caring for my whole self in a way that honors God and honors me, his creation. It results in integration, the opposite of which is disintegration or death.

- Remember: Everything Is Connected!

Emotional Health

- Being aware of and heeding your emotional state as a God-given gift of data about your beliefs. Your emotions are a result of your beliefs.

Spiritual Health

- Abiding in Jesus and he in you so your soul is full.

Mental Health

- The care of your brain so that you are taking every thought captive in obedience to Christ, resisting the toxicity that poisons you.

Physical Health

- The care, maintenance and feeding of the physical self to live your best life.

Relational Health

- Boundaries with all people.
- Intentional connection with life-giving people.
- Intentional resolution of conflict with unhealthy people.

Questions To Consider:

1. If someone were to watch your life for a week, what rating would they give you on a scale of 1 (bad) to 10 (great) in how well you are living? Why?
2. Do you agree or disagree that your health is a Biblical Stewardship issue? Why?
3. What would it look like for you to better steward your life to the glory of God and to your benefit?
4. If you could counsel a younger person on a life well lived, what would you say to them?
5. Reflect on Mark 12:30-31 and each of the five scriptures related to Whole Life Health. What is God telling you to do?
