You Are His Masterpiece

You Are His Masterpiece

Pastor Bryan Clark of Lincoln Berean took this past weekend to share further insights with our body from his book "God's Not Like That." Expounding on its truths, he shared about God's design for the family in truthfully reflecting the character of God. He encouraged and challenged us in ways that we can practically pass the truth of God on to the next generation. In this Sunday message, Bryan will be concluding his time with us by unpacking Ephesians 2:1-10 as he declares the message that, through Christ, we are God's Masterpiece!

Beyond Sunday

Growing with Jesus isn’t just for Sundays. Make it an everyday, everywhere, with everyone mission by going “beyond Sunday”!

Engage in these resources on your own and with your Grow Group*, family, or a friend:

Grow
• To gain context for this passage, watch this overview of Ephesians: npberean.org/beyond5
• Copy Ephesians 2:8-10 on a card. Read it every morning when you wake and every evening before bed, until you know it by heart.

Share
• Consider one way you can share this clear gospel of Jesus Christ with a family member, friend, or coworker this week. Then actually do it!
• Write out Ephesians 2:5 in your own words. How can you live out your new life in Christ this week by what you say and do?

Connect
• Do you see yourself and others as God’s masterpiece? (v.10) Why or why not?
• When Christ recreated us, we were made ready to do good works planned for us by God. How should knowing this change the way we face life every day?
• Explore Romans 11:33-36 together to prepare for next week’s sermon.

Next Week's Sermon

As we've studied Romans, we've undestood Gospel Foundations (chapters 1-4), delighted in Gospel Fruit (chapters 5-8), and been comforted in Gospel Faithfulness (chapters 9-11). Before we enter the final movement of Romans (Gospel Flourishing), however, we'll explore how Paul ends his section on Gospel Faithfulness as all the theology he's espoused now culminates in doxology - praise to our Great God and King!
