We are all going to experience things that inconvenience us, which are out of our control, but what is in our control is the way we respond.
WAY #1 WE SABOTAGE OUR JOY...
By complaining
The Israelites were also guilty of this!
Instead of trusting God to provide, the Israelites complained and even accused God of trying to starve them!

But we also do this when we complain.
It is incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to be joyful while you are complaining.
WAY #2 WE SABOTAGE OUR JOY...
By not living out of our true identity
We are called children of God and are set apart from the world, but when we are complaining, we look just like the world and nothing like our true identity.
What does it really mean to be a child of God?

How does this identity bring us joy?
When we sabotage our joy by complaining and not living out our true identity, we leave a lot on the table.
What does it mean to have spiritual amnesia? How does that affect our joy?
What did the Israelites leave on the table by their complaining?

What could you be leaving on the table by your complaining?
What is a drink offering?

How was Paul's life a drink offering?
THE ULTIMATE KEY TO LIVING A LIFE FILLED WITH JOY
Lasting joy is found in serving God and living for Him, rather than living for your own comfort.
