Yearly Theme: “Goodness is… Glorious”
Series Title: “Beyond the Noise”

Key Point: “Physical Rest is necessary for a healthy mind and spirit, and this requires complete trust in God for our daily provision."
The call to physical rest is present throughout scripture.
God offers rest to those who trust him fully.
Jesus rested.
Psalm 127:1-2 describes the vanity of working all the time without any rest. What does the Psalmist say GOD gives to those He loves?
The first verse of this Psalm reads:“Unless the LORD builds a house, the work of the builders is useless.”What are you working so hard to build right now that maybe you’ve neglected to let GOD build with and for you (i.e., a career, a marriage, a family, a future, etc.)?
Many believers have forgotten that GOD is their strength and help and protector, and they are working so hard, and worrying so much, about keeping it all together. But the psalmist reminds us that “Unless the LORD protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good.”When was the last time you allowed GOD to defend or protect you (i.e., your reputation, your image, your emotions, all the things you hold dear in life, etc.)?
Have you found this to be true:“It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night anxiously working for food to eat” (v. 2a)?Explain...
Way to many people come into retirement with way to many regrets. One of the most common regrets is not taking enough time to do the more important things in life like:spending more time with GOD, spending more time with family, not working so much, or not taking more time to rest. Are you (or did you) make enough margin in your life to prioritize the most important things? Why, or why not?
