Relativism: Believing that what is true or morally acceptable for one person or society may not be true or acceptable for another.
Romans 1:21-22, For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools.
The Biblical Foundation for Absolute Truth:
• God Himself is the source of all moral truth (Psalm 119:160; John 17:17)
• God’s moral law is unchanging (Malachi 3:6; Matthew 5:17-18)
• God Himself is the source of all moral truth (Psalm 119:160; John 17:17)
• God’s moral law is unchanging (Malachi 3:6; Matthew 5:17-18)
The Biblical Response to Relativism:
• Know and Love God’s Word as Truth.
• Think God’s Thoughts After Him.
• Live out God’s Truth in All Areas of Life.
• Know and Love God’s Word as Truth.
• Think God’s Thoughts After Him.
• Live out God’s Truth in All Areas of Life.
2 Timothy 3:16-17, All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Colossians 3:17, And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
