God's work in human history is to bring about the fruition of His promises, not to change them.

God alone is responsible for His promises and for our salvation.

The role of the law was to be a spotlight on our sins, to humble us, and to be a bandaid of sorts until Jesus’ arrival.

Application:
We can live with the assurance that God's promises are reliable and that they are fulfilled in Christ.

Our daily lives should reflect the trust we place in God’s promises.
