Anointed = set apart by God's Spirit for God's special purpose.
1. Priests stand between God & humans
2. Kings shepherd God’s people
3. Prophets speak God’s Word
4. The temple sanctifies whatever it touches
The Scriptures predicted an Anointed One who would fulfill all of these special purposes.
