Discipleship is simply falling more and more in love with Jesus until you love what Jesus loves, and do what Jesus does.
How do we handle Scandalous Scripture?
- 1. Does this alter or change the Gospel in any way?

How do we handle Scandalous Scripture?
- 2. Does it agree with other portions of Scripture?

How do we handle Scandalous Scripture?
- 3. How has the church handled this portion historically?
How people receive your testimony is no reflection of the power of God in your story. Tell it anyway!

Skepticism is not a spiritual gift.

You will never get where God is calling you to go by insisting that He does it your way, in your time, and by your standards.

At some point, we have to decide if we trust God and His Word… or not.
The Good News is an active message. If you ain’t preaching, you’re praying. If you ain’t testifying you’re living the example. The one thing you can’t do is stay silent.

Preach the Gospel at all times, and if necessary, use words.
-St. Francis of Assisi
To be saved you have to believe in Jesus… what does that mean?
1. Do you believe in the facts about Jesus?

- Do you believe that Jesus is God in human form (John 1:1, 14)?

- Do you believe that Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins (1 Corinthians 15:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21), for which you deserve eternal separation from God (Romans 6:23)?

- Do you believe that Jesus rose from the dead? (Mark 8:31, Romans 10:9)

- Do you believe that the sacrifice of Jesus, God incarnate, is the only adequate payment for your sins (1 John 2:2; John 14:6; Acts 4:12)?

That’s all well and good, but… that’s just the beginning.
2. Do you put all your trust in Jesus?

Biblical faith is more than believing something is true, it is putting all your trust in that thing.

Putting all your trust in something means, you stop trying to save yourself. It means you stop trying to conceal your sins. It means that you start realigning your life with His.

Discipleship is simply falling more and more in love with Jesus until you love what Jesus loves, and do what Jesus does.

This is what the Gospel is all about… That is what trust and believing faith looks like…

And here’s the third part…
3. Do you believe Jesus?

At the end of the day its not just believing in Jesus, it is believing Him. Where you put so much trust in Him that you actually start to live according to His commands that is the evidence of saving faith.
When we choose to live apart from God in this life, we choose to live apart from Him in eternity.
Deliverance is common place in the life of all believers.

Speaking in new tongues refers to the miraculous gift of language that we read about in Acts chapter 2.

This last call of Jesus reminds us that He will protect us, He will use us, if we are willing to submit and believe.
