Main Point: Honor is the catalyst of Kingdom advancement. The sooner we embrace a lifestyle of honoring God (His Will & His Ways), the sooner we submit to His Lordship and acknowledge our place in His Kingdom.

HUSTLE CULTURE VS. DIVINE HUSTLE

Hustle Culture - glorification of working very long hours in hope of reaching one’s professional goals while having a disregard for their health, and relationships with loved ones.

Divine Hustle - total reliance on God’s grace to have the courage, confidence, and determination to to pursue after your Divine calling and make the most of every opportunity afforded to you.

LAWS AND PRINCIPLES IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD

The Kingdom of God is proactive not reactive. The Kingdom is unconditional not conditional.
- When Jesus gave the new commandment to love one another as He has loved us it did not come with conditions of how we feel at the moment. - Before Christ’s ascension into heaven, we were given the Great Commission, not an awesome recommendation.

The sooner we embrace a lifestyle of honoring God (His Will & His Ways), the sooner we submit to His Lordship and acknowledge our place in His Kingdom. We are sons and daughters but also servants.

Honor is the act of refreshing the memory of the priority of one’s position in your life.
- In Ephesians 5:21- Ephesians 6:9, we are given the practical expressions of honor between husbands to wives and wives to husbands, children to parents/parents to teachers, and workers to leadership/leadership to workers.

V.7 - Fear of the Lord - reverence
The beginning,the first and controlling principle, rather than a stage which one leaves behind is not merely a right method of thought but a right relation: a worshiping submission (fear) to the God of the covenant, who has revealed himself by name (through His character).

Knowledge, then, in its full sense, is a relationship, dependent on revelation and inseparable from character (wisdom and training).

The deeper correlation to this truth is found in the Fall of Man recorded in the Book of Genesis. In their quest for more knowledge, apart from God, they become less knowledgeable.

Honor = First & Best

Matt. 6:33 “seek first” - zeteo - try to find; seek information; desire; demand; try to obtain understanding ; to consider.

This same word is used in Matthew 2:16-20 where Herod instructed his soldiers to “seek” out all boys age 2 and younger. Implies the earnest desire to seek out your entire purview for what you’re looking for.

Is God worth 4% of your day? This is the equivalent in a given day, giving God 1 hour (consecutively or as your schedule permits).

Suggestions
When you wake up, Before you check an email, messages, social media acknowledge God’s presence with you.

Instead of solely focusing on how to generate additional streams of income, ask God to show you how to create additional streams of impact. Beyond your current employment, how are you using your gifts and talents to enrich your communities?

Suggestion
- Expanding your leadership capacity through additional classes/certifications? Have you considered enrolling in The Outlet Leadership Institute to expand and cultivate your gifts?
- Serving in church through our service experience teams, leading accountability groups, or volunteering for outreach endeavors.
- Be a coach or a mentor for a youth/school league
- Volunteer on Boards for Neighborhoods, Organizations, Nonprofits
- Lead Parent Support Groups

Is God worth a dime? This is the equivalent of setting aside 10% to honor God for the purpose of dispersing to “every good work.” (2 Corinthians 9:6-8)

Suggestion
Before you get paid, have a plan for how you will give, spend, invest, and save. Automation is your friend.
