Ice Breaker: Why do you think Jesus spent so much time teaching about money?

We all get attached to money quickly and deeply. This begins automatically at a very early age. And without even realizing it, our connection to money becomes one of love and power. It even impacts us on a spiritual level. How does this present a "Heart Issue" for many Christ Followers?

Read the words of Jesus from the Sermon on the Mount. Matthew 6:19-24. What does Jesus mean when He says, "Your heart follows your money"?

Pastor Jonathan said it like this, “When it comes to giving financially, God doesn’t want your money. God wants your heart, but he knows your heart will follow your money." How can you apply this truth to your day-to-day giving, saving, and spending habits?

Simply put, "What you do with money says something about and does something to your heart". Here are 3 Questions for reflection that Pastor Jonathan shared with us. Take some time and reflect on each of them as you think about the way you view money and finances.
