Series: Understanding the Times Today we’ll look at the next series of judgments hurled at planet Earth. Headquarters for the Antichrist (Babylon) will be obliterated by what some think is a nuclear explosion. It’s a set-up for the greatest day of all time. Every day is one day closer to the Return of Christ! Time to Preach: 3 Messages from 3 Angels
16:6 Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people. 7 And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.”
God’s grace is displayed by a proclamation of the eternal gospel to everyone on earth--To every nation, tribe and language
16:8 Another angel, a second, followed, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who made all nations drink the wine of the passion[a] of her sexual immorality.” ([corrupting them with idolatry] Amp)
God’s grace is offered once again in the form of a 2nd warning

Babylon will kill the true followers of God: the woman is “drunk with the blood of God’s holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus” (Revelation 17:6; cf. 18:24).
§ Babylon will actively lead people astray into corruption (Revelation 18:23; 19:2).
§ Babylon the Great will be associated with a 10-nation confederacy of 10 kings, plus the beast (Revelation 17:12; cf. 13:4).
§ End-times Babylon will thrive for a time, but then the beast and the 10 kings will conclude that she is no longer needed. They will proceed to dispose of it: “They will bring her to ruin and leave her naked; they will eat her flesh and burn her with fire” (Revelation 17:16).
§ Babylon will actively lead people astray into corruption (Revelation 18:23; 19:2).

How could a loving God send people to a place of eternal torment?
1. He is Just.
a. He is perfectly righteous in all He does.
b. He commands against the mistreatment of others (Zechariah 7:10), and He perfectly executes vengeance against the oppressors (2 Thessalonians 1:6; Romans 12:19).
c. He is just in rewarding His people: “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them” (Hebrews 6:10).
d. Justice and righteousness are the foundation of God’s throne (Psalm 89:14).
