I.The Vision of the Rotting Fruit - Amos 8:1-3

A. Israel & Judah were in a state of peace and economic prosperity, but the heart of the nation was rotten -

B. Money & Things had replaced God as priority - Amos 8:4-6
1. They took advantage of the poor - v. 4 & 6a
2. They spent time dedicated to God planning their next business venture - v. 5a
3. They used deceitful practices - v. 5b & 6b

II. The Call To Repentance - Amos 5:10-15

A. They despise correction - v. 10, Proverbs 12:1

B. They have sinned and God will judge - v. 11-13
