REVIEW:

1) The idea of human civil government came from God.

2) Goverment's primary role is to protect good people from evil people.

3) Good governments set policies and laws that allow good to flourish and evil to wither.
TAKE AWAYS:

1) Refuse to allow politics to dominate your life and/or divide relationships.
2) Obey God ALWAYS.
3) Obey the government USUALLY.
PRAYER: "Jesus, what do you want ME to do with what I've just heard?"
FAMILY/GROUP DISCUSSION:
(Get more out of this message by talking it over with your family around the lunch table, at your next small group meeting, or with a friend or two at your favorite coffee shop)

Authentic Love and Actions: Romans 12:9 says, "Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good." How can we practice genuine love in our daily interactions, and what are some practical ways to abhor evil and cling to what is good?

Responding to Adversity: Romans 12:14-15 encourages blessing those who persecute us and sharing in others' joys and sorrows. How can we genuinely bless those who mistreat us, and why is it important to empathize with others in both their successes and struggles?

Living in Harmony: Romans 12:16 instructs us to live in harmony with one another, avoid being haughty, and associate with the lowly. What challenges do we face in living harmoniously with others, and how can we overcome pride to foster inclusivity and humility?

Overcoming Evil with Good: Romans 12:17-21 address not repaying evil for evil, living peaceably with all, and overcoming evil with good. Can you share a personal experience where you chose to respond to a negative situation with kindness or good? How did it impact the situation and the people involved?
