Abraham heard what God said, trusted what God said and strived to live out what God.
Faith: An internal conviction that leads to an external action.
We too are called to walk out our faith as well.

Walking in the Footstep of Faith
1.Real Faith finds it’s confidence in a person.
17 as it is written, “I have made you the father of many nations”—in the presence of the God in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist. 18 In hope he believed against hope, that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been told, “So shall your offspring be.” Romans 4:17-18 (ESV)
Abraham’s faith is not exemplary because of its strength, but because its object was God.

2. Real faith isn’t blind to obstacles.
19 He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead (since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of Sarah's womb. Romans 4:19 (ESV)
Real faith doesn’t deny circumstances, but stands fast in spite the obstacles that stand in the way of the promise.

3. Real Faith progressively brings one strength.
20 No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God. 21 fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised. Romans 4:20 (ESV)
The Greek word Diakrithenai (“to doubt or to waver”) means, literally, “to have two minds or opinions”.

4. Real Faith remains convinced of God’s promises.
