The Men's Study will begin a new series August 3rd on Spiritual Disciplines. It is God's desire to transform our souls. Our task is to do the connecting, while God does the perfecting. But what does connecting with God look like? One of the ways we connect with God is through Spiritual Disciplines. In the right context, Spiritual Disciplines help us transform into the image of Christ. Join us for a time of exploring God's word and interactive discussion. We begin at 7:30am and are done by 9am.

Week 2 - Celebrating the Gospel
Paul writes what he does in 1 Timothy because he understands what the Bible says about sin and grace. Only the Gospel deals with us—as we are—and leads us to grace at the same time. Because of Jesus, we can acknowledge our sin and yet not be destroyed by it. Paul tells Timothy to continue to contend and celebrate the Gospel.
Week 2 - Celebrating the Gospel
Paul writes what he does in 1 Timothy because he understands what the Bible says about sin and grace. Only the Gospel deals with us—as we are—and leads us to grace at the same time. Because of Jesus, we can acknowledge our sin and yet not be destroyed by it. Paul tells Timothy to continue to contend and celebrate the Gospel.
“When we cheap out on our own depravity, we will always cheap out on God’s grace.” We see that when Paul thinks of his previous life of sin, he is immediately filled with joy because he celebrates the Gospel and the resulting transformation. Paul’s understanding of his life turns everything into an opportunity to invite someone to know and trust Jesus. He celebrates God’s great grace in the Gospel. Do you?

Pray: Thank God for the Gospel, and ask Him to reveal how the Gospel speaks into your past, present, and future failures.
