Pastor Amy's Sabbatical
Pastor Amy will be taking a sabbatical from July 6 to August 6. She will be off phone and off email. Jean Moy will oversee Children's Ministries (Sunday programming, Wednesday events, and CCD Kids Camp details) during this time. Contact her if you have any questions, (815) 263-7640.
Manteno Kids Wednesday
There are no kids' activities this week on Wednesday. Our kids and sponsors need time to pack for camp. (Don't forget towels.)
Kids Camp at Olivet
This week, we have 18 kids and 5 sponsors headed to Kids' Camp at Olivet. Camps are life-changing experiences for kids that deepen and strengthen their faith. Please be in prayer for our kids and adults.
Women's Swim Party
Tuesday, July 23 | 5:30pm | 1198 Lascombes, Bourbonnais | Amanda Mountain is hosting a Women's Swimming Party at her pool. Come for a swim, a sit on the deck, fellowship, and bring a snack to share.
Sound Meeting
Thursday, July 18 | 7pm | Our sound people are doing another meeting of the minds on Thursday, July 18 if you missed the first one or if you came to the first one. If you've ever been interested in doing sound, we would love to have you join us.
Student Ministries "Break"
Sunday night BREAK will be taking a break during the month of July. This will give our sponsors a much-needed break. I know this is breaking your kids' hearts, but it will be back in August.
Job Opening
We are looking to fill a part-time administrative assistant position. The Administrative Assistant will promote the success and productivity of the church and its mission by assisting the staff and congregation through various office roles. [Love] always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13:7
Love always protects.
Love always protects.
Love provides a safe space.
Love always trusts.
Love always trusts.
Loves gives the benefit of the doubt.
Love always hopes.
Love always hopes.
Loves refuses to take failure as final.
Love always perseveres.
Love always does the right thing even when it’s the hard thing.
1 Corinthians 13:8-13
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
Love ALWAYS Is.
