God takes exception to the SCATTERING of His people. (Jeremiah 23:1)
“Tending” to the people is not simply addressing their physical needs, but also their spiritual needs. (Jeremiah 23:2)
God NEVER ALLOWS evil to go unaddressed. (Jeremiah 23:2)

When God Calls for RESTORATION
God will ALWAYS restore us. (Jeremiah 23:3)
God will RAISE UP shepherds – NOT man. (Jeremiah 23:4)
Those under GODLY LEADERSHIP will not be afraid, terrified, or missing.

When God Calls for REDEMPTION
The “righteous branch” for David is the PROMISE OF THE MESSIAH. (Jeremiah 23:5)
The righteousness and redemption of Christ was for ALL THE EARTH – not just Israel.
Jehovah Tsidkenu = The Lord Our Righteousness (Jeremiah 23:6).
Note: The meaning of the name of the last of the 4 kings (Zedekiah) was – “Righteousness is the Lord”. The script is flipped and God (Christ) is referenced as the Lord of OUR righteousness.
