All of life is a test because God wants all of your life.

The good news for us is that this test is open book.

Jesus is our perfect example.

Why do we abandon our cross?

To take up our cross means we put Christ first. To take up our cross is to love first. To take up our cross is to embrace faith in the deepest levels. You cannot do any of those things and remain unchanged.

We will all face the challenge of taking up our cross, so how do we prepare to do it?

- We pre-decide that Jesus is worth any cost.
- We surround ourselves with faithful friends.
- We die to ourselves that Christ may reign in us.
- When we fail, we repent, recircle, and prepare to die again.
