Series: Different: Embrace the Call
Message: We Act Different
Scripture: 1 Peter 2:11-12
We are not home.
1 Peter 2:11a – “Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world…”
We are at war.
1 Peter 2:11b – (I urge you) “…to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul.”
It is not fair.
1 Peter 2:12 – “Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day He visits us.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 – “For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
We act and fight differently because of what Jesus did for us.
We fight on our knees!
