There is no substitute for the real thing.
Everyone has a mental image of God that fails to capture the fullness of who God is.
God’s laws and commands are not a condition for relationship, they are confirmation of a relationship.
With God, relationship always proceed rules.
God doesn’t want to be your one among many, he wants to be your one and only.
God said, ‘I want to be YOUR one and only because I am the ONE and ONLY’.
Any image or visible representation of God would be woefully inadequate.
There is a multi-generational consequence to living with something or someone other than God at the center of your life.
There is a multi-millennial blessing for placing God at the center of your life.
God wants you to tear down your idols and embrace Him fully.
Prayer of salvation:
Dear Lord, I come to You in my time of need, seeking Your guidance and hope. I acknowledge that I have tried to do things my way, but I now realize that I need You in my life. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose again to give me new life. I accept Him as my Lord and Savior. Please forgive my sins, and help me to follow You all the days of my life. Thank You for Your love and grace. In Jesus' name, Amen.
