1. We have be willing to LIVE a life of REPENTANCE
True belief isn’t just by identifying what is RIGHT but identifying it in ME
2. We have to be willing to LET GO
Change DEMANDS that we let go of what we want God to BE
3. We have to acknowledge we won’t UNDERSTAND every STEP
John 20:1 “Saw”: Blepei - to see, discern, of the bodily eye
John 20:8 “Saw”: “Theroreo” To reason, theorize and ponder; to experience
John 20:8 “Saw”: “Theroreo” To reason, theorize and ponder; to experience
Peace is not found in understanding all that is HAPPENING to you it’s found in understanding who GOD is
4. We have to let go of BITTERNESS and CYNICISM
Bitterness and cynicism create CONDITIONS to our faith that become false GODS
5. We have to DEAL with our PAST
Jesus Foretells Peter’s Denial
Matthew 26:34, Mark 14:30, Luke 22:34
Matthew 26:34, Mark 14:30, Luke 22:34
To make peace with our past we must see it’s not our STRENGTH, but our HUMILITY that connects us to God
Talk About It
Discussion Questions:
1. What does it take to have your mind changed? Would the people around you say you’re easy to reason with?
2. How would you explain the difference between understanding all that is happening to you versus understanding God’s nature despite what is happening to you?
3. Are there any conditions you have that must be met before you obey God?
Next Step:
• Are you currently dealing with any sort of change in your life? What do you think your responsibility is during this change?
