Summer Plan
As of now, for the summer, we have one service at 10am. 10am. This upcoming week is the last day of this session for Journey Groups and Wednesday for the summer. Both Student Ministries and Kids have extensive summer plans. Most of their Wednesday plans start at 6pm for the summer. Check out their monthly newsletters for more info.
Camp Scholarships
Scholarship applications have gone out. We want to be able to offer a scholarship to each youth for half the cost of camp. With around 40 kids and teens attending camp, we will need upwards of $5,000. We are within $500 of our goal.
CCD Teen Camp at Indian Lake
June 10-14 | Current 6th-12th Graders | CCD teens have their own camp at Indian Lake Nazarene Campground up in Michigan. The cost is $325. Cost includes transportation to and from Indian Lake, a shirt, activities, food, and air-conditioned sleeping quarters. Https://form.jotform.com/240704591518154 is the registration link. Scuba VBS
June 2-6 | 6-8pm | Entering K-5th Grade | Take kids deep into an amazing undersea adventure where they’ll experience the ever-flowing, never-ending love of God. At Scuba VBS, kids will be immersed in the Word and discover what living water is really all about! Register at https://bit.ly/VBSmanteno24 (Volleyball and Basketball are canceled for the week.)

After church on June 2, there is a short crew volunteer meeting. Crew and other volunteers, Pastor Amy has been sending out emails this week that you should probably read.
Retirement Luncheon
Sunday, June 23 | 11am | Join us for a special luncheon honoring Martha Krueger on her retirement. A meal will be provided by the church and served immediately following the 10 am service. Families are encouraged to thank Martha for her years of service through the card shower/love offering that will take place at the luncheon. Those unable to attend the luncheon can mail or drop off their cards at the church office before the day.

July 11-14 | Current 1st-6th Graders | Registration is open for Kids Camp, July 11-14 at Olivet Nazarene University! Songs, snacks, rock climbing, and more. Love Is… What Matters Most
1 Corinthians 13:1-3
May 26, 2024
If I don’t live a life of love…
nothing I SAY will matter.
If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
(1 Corinthians 13:1)
If I don’t live a life of love…
nothing I KNOW will matter.
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge,... but do not have love, I am nothing.
(1 Corinthians 13:2)
If I don’t live a life of love…
nothing I BELIEVE will matter.
...and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
(1 Corinthians 13:2)
If I don’t live a life of love…
nothing I BELIEVE will matter.
“You believe there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that – and shudder.” (James 2:19)
If I don’t live a life of love…
nothing I BELIEVE will matter.
Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.
(1 John 4:20)

nothing I GIVE will matter.
If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
(1 Corinthians 13:3)
Make your SPEAKING matter.
...speaking the truth in LOVE... (Ephesians 4:15)
Make your KNOWLEDGE matter.
...grow in GRACE and knowledge... (2 Peter 3:18)
Make your BELIEF matter.
a person is considered righteous by what they DO and not by faith alone (James 2:24)
Make your GIVING matter.
God loves a CHEERFUL giver. (2 Corinthians 9:7)
Matthew 22:36-40
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Love is a COMMAND
And this is love: that we walk in obedience to his commands. As you have heard from the beginning, his COMMAND is that you walk in love.

Love is a CHOICE
“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, IF you love one another.”
(John 13:35)
Love is a CONDUCT
Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with ACTIONS and in truth.
(1 John 3:18)
Love is a COMMITMENT
