Sunday Gathering
This Sunday we continue our series that will span the whole summer where we will explore the three core values of our movement beginning with 'We are: Spirit-Powered'. This first volume of the series will highlight the model we are to follow, encourage us to seek our unique gifts and calling, and challenge us to participate in our collective mission as we discover what it means to be Spirit Powered. Power gifts: Demonstrate the power, presence and reality of God.
Prophecy: Gift of delivering a message from God in the moment to edify, encourage, or call people to a right relationship with God.
Faith: The unusual capacity of a person to recognise in a given situation that God intends to do something and to trust God for it until He brings it to pass.
Discernment of Spirits: Supernatural ability to see behind the curtain, for a sense of what is present: God, human, or demonic? (spiritual eyes).
Healing: an unusual ability to sense the power of God when it is present for healing and takes action.
Working of Power through Miracles: powerful acts that are perceived by observers to have altered the ordinary course of nature. e.g. Jesus to the waves.
Words of Knowledge: when God gives you info/knowledge in the moment on a person you would not know to encourage, demonstrate God is here. e.g. the woman by the well.
Words of Wisdom: God gives a situational word or a message applicable in a moment that provides insight for people into the next steps of their spiritual journey.
Tongues: Unknown language (not the personal) spoken in public, must be translated - demonstrates that God is here, and builds up.
Interpretation: Interpreted, in this example, by another so everyone can understand and makes sense of what is spoken.
Intercession: Special ability that God gives to certain members of the Body of Christ to pray for extended periods of time on a regular basis and see frequent and specific answers.
