It’s frustrating to want to make positive changes, only to feel completely powerless to do so.
In Christ, we have both the ability and the authority to resist the devil’s schemes and walk in courageous victory.
Here's the abbreviated version of biblical faith: God said it, so I believe it, and I will act upon it.
Jesus is God, and He embodies everything that ever came from the mouth of God.
His word (logos) is how we know God and relate to Him. His word teaches us who He is, what He likes, doesn’t like, it tells His story and how God related to others before us. Hebrews 4:12a tells us, For the word (logos) of God is living and powerful. In other words, the Bible we hold in our hands is not just an old book with antiquated stories of long ago.
I don’t think I can emphasize enough how important God’s Word is in our lives; to protect, guide, and reassure us in battle/ God’s word is not a futile piece of spiritual equipment – it is essential, powerful, and life-giving.

His word, hidden in our hearts, keeps us from any lurking sin. When we internalize it, memorize it, and know it deeply, it truly is our best weapon!
It is only with this Sword of the Spirit that we are prepared and equipped to meet Satan in battle!
