What is the Great Tribulation?

What is the Great Tribulation?

The Tribulation is a future seven-year period when God will finish His work in Israel and finalize judgment of the unbelieving world. It is called the "Great tribulation", "a time of distress" and "the time of Jacob's trouble". Knowing these things will sharpen our faith and help us warn others. Daniel 9:24 “Seventy weeks are decreed about your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal both vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy place."

“Oh, that we might learn how to pray so that God should be the subject as well as the object of our supplications! O God, thy Church needs thee above everything else! A poor, little, sick, neglected child needs fifty things; but you can put all those needs into one if you say that the child needs its mother. So, the Church, of God needs a thousand things, but you can put them all into one if you say, ‘The Church of God needs her God.’ ” (Spurgeon)
God's Time is always Right!

“One of Satan’s most subtle delusions is that he succeeds in getting hundreds of thousands of men to trust in prayer, apart from faith in the shed blood of Jesus.” (Talbot)

Period 2/+434=483 years, from the decree till the Messiah appears

1. Sir Robert Anderson’s computation states that day would be April 10th, AD32, the day Jesus entered Jerusalem as Messiah the Prince.

4. Some of the prophecy has been fulfilled, the rest will be fulfilled in the end-times.

27 And he will enter into a binding and irrevocable covenant with the many for one week (seven years), but in the middle of the week he will stop the sacrifice and grain offering [for the remaining three and one-half years]; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until the complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who causes the horror.” AMP
