Faith: that we would believe in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are saved because of the work Christ has done. This verse however points to the fact that all that we need to live the godly life that comes through knowing Christ more.
More = Addition
Add to your faith: characteristics; fruit of the spirit
Godliness - the determination to honor God with our conduct and practice of the character, Spirit and ways of God in the course of our everyday lives. This is an essential pursuit for every Christian.
We must know God.
We must know God in order to know and appreciate His character.
We must know God in order to know and appreciate His Spirit.
We must know God in order to know and appreciate His ways.

The Great Divide
There is a kingdom revelation that has been unlocked for all of us. This revelation is laid-bare in scripture and it causes visible differences in the lives of those who experience it, that affects our current existence and certainty will impact our eternal destination and judgement.
The substance of this revelation actively divides us, not by race, or gender, or zip code, or even financial status - but we inevitably find ourselves in separate groups because of it and will find ourselves separated by it.
I will call these groups the Haves and the Have Nots.
The Haves - because of this revelation, you typically experience relative happiness, success, and peace in their lives. It doesn't mean that everything is great all the time, but in most cases it's good.
The Have Nots - because of this revelation, you typically experience relative dissatisfaction, failure, and turmoil in their lives. It doesn't mean that everything is terrible all the time, but in many cases they find themselves frustrated.
